Invasive Plant Workshop

The Wyoming Mining Natural Resource Foundation hosted an Invasive Plant Workshop in Green River, WY on April 25, 2017. 58 individuals representing local, state and federal agencies, conservation organizations, private landowners and agricultural organizations, academia and university extension and research stations attended the one day workshop. Brian Mealor – Director of the University of Wyoming Research and Extension Center (Sheridan, WY) provided the keynote address.

The morning learning session of the workshop was conducted by local and regional invasive plant and rehabilitation specialists focusing on the extent and threat of invasive plant species in southwestern Wyoming. The afternoon session included facilitated discussions of the identified issues from the morning session and potential solutions.
